MEET JAYLA HUZZIE

Hi, I'm Jayla! I'm a proud Georgia State University graduate and a book lover who has always believed that stories have the power to heal, inspire, and connect us. Living in the outskirts of Atlanta, I spend my days surrounded by the rhythm of the city and my nights lost in the pages of a good book.

For as long as I can remember, books have been more than just entertainment for me - they've been teachers, safe spaces, and mirrors that reflect pieces of myself I didn't even know I was searching for.

Starting Her Bookshelf book club and blog site is more than just a hobby for me - it's a passion project. I wanted to create a space where readers can laugh, cry, debate, and celebrate the magic of storytelling together. Whether it's diving into a new genre, uncovering hidden gems, or just sharing honest thoughts about authors and characters we can't forget. I'm here to make reading feel both personal and communal.

This space is for the curious reader who's open to trying new genres, the busy soul who wants a reason to finally finish that book on the nightstand, and the dreamer who see pieces of themselves in fictional worlds. Or at the opposite end of the spectrum, where we have readers who want to feel lost in a different world that takes them far from their true reality.

At the end of the day, this isn't just about reading - it's about living through stories together, as a sisterhood. Books don't just tell tales; they help us write our own. And I am so excited to share that journey with you, page by page.

P.S. Life is never boring with my two furry sons, Prince Charming III and Woods Sterling, keeping me company at every turn of a page.
